Resolve the 'Your licence expires this month' message in COINS ERP

Explains why the 'Your licence expires this month' notification appears in COINS ERP and how uploading a new licence file makes it disappear automatically.

Written by Sunil

The 'Your licence expires this month' message is a system notification that appears automatically in COINS ERP when your current licence is approaching its expiry date. It is not a user-configurable notification — you cannot turn it off through Notification Preferences. The message disappears on its own once a valid updated licence is uploaded to your environment.

📌Note: This notification is controlled by your licence expiry date, not by your notification settings. Clearing it from the Notifications list or adjusting preferences will not remove it.

Clear the licence expiry message

To remove the message, you need to load a new licence file into COINS ERP. Coins provides licence updates in the form of a CSV file, which you receive by email when your renewal has been processed.

  1. Save the CSV licence file to your computer.

  2. In COINS ERP, go to System > System Setup > Module/Licence Maintenance.

  3. Click the Load Licence tab.

  4. Click Choose File and select the CSV file.

  5. Click Next. COINS ERP validates the licence.

  6. Click OK to confirm. The licence details are updated and the expiry message disappears.

⚠️Important: If the licence is invalid, an appropriate message is displayed and the licence is not saved. Contact your account manager if you are unsure whether your renewal has been processed.

Haven't received your licence file?

When a licence renewal is paid for, update instructions are sent by email. These may go to another person within your organisation, such as your IT team or account owner. If you cannot locate the email, check with your internal contacts before raising a support case.

If you are sure the renewal has been paid for and you have not received the licence file, contact your account manager.
