For each module, you define the Analysis Sets as part of the configuration procedure.
Analysis sets are usually available on the main record types. For example:
In General Ledger | there are analysis sets | for account numbers. |
In Job Status | " | for jobs and cost types. |
In accounts payable | " | for suppliers |
In accounts receivable | " | for customers. |
In Job Receivables Ledger | " | for jobs. |
In Subcontract Ledger | " | for subcontractors. |
In Fixed Assets | " | for assets and cost types. |
In inventory | " | for item codes. |
In Payroll | " | for employees. |
To define the analysis sets for a module:
Go to the module configuration procedure (for example, SL Configuration).
Click the Analysis Set tab (some modules may have more than one group of analysis sets, as shown in the list above, so there may be more than one tab).
Enter codes and descriptions for each analysis set; the descriptions are the field labels that Coins ERP+ displays when prompting for the analysis for a record. You do not have to use all the available analysis sets.
If you want to populate an analysis set for a new record automatically from the record's code, enter the start and end positions in the code.
Click Save.
