Job Analysis

In Coins ERP+, each Job analysis is made up of three or four elements: the job code, an optional phase code, the cost code and the cost category. For example:

The maximum length of the entire analysis code, including the full stops and company separator, can be between 19 and 30 characters. (The maximum length can be configured; the default is 19.) There are also limits on the lengths of the individual elements:

Identifies the job (or the development, in a house building context).

Phase code

Provides a way of dividing large jobs into smaller units.

Cost code

Configurable between 8 and 16 characters

Identifies the different types of cost on a job.

Cost category

Allows you to analyze costs further into up to six categories, such as labor, materials, and so on.

Parameters

  • JC/CAMAXLEN - Contract Costing Analysis maximum length (defaults to 19)

  • JC/CCMAXLEN - Maximum length of cost code (look at side-frame Help for default values)

  • JC/JPHOFF - Switch off Contract Phases

  • JC/XCOINLEN - Exclude company in analysis length check
