Single Page Bank Reconciliation

Single Page Bank Reconciliation displays statement items and Cash Manager items side by side for matching in two browses.

Before you run Bank Reconciliation, you must enter a statement, either manually or automatically (see Loading Statements Automatically).

You can report on unreconciled statement items or cash manager transactions using the Bank Statement Report or Unreconciled Report.

To reconcile statement items

1.

Go to Single Page Bank Reconciliation.

Select the bank account to reconcile and click Next (Next Icon).

The bank reconciliation screen shows all statement items in the left browse, and all unmatched Cash Manager items in the right browse.

Select a bank statement item in the Statement Items browse, and in the Unmatched Items browse select the Cash Manager item or items that match it.

The Selected field below the right browse shows the total value of the Cash Manager items you have selected, and the Difference field shows the difference between that value and the selected statement item.

In the action menu below the left browse, choose Reconcile Matched Items and click Apply Action ().

If there is a difference between the statement item and the Cash Manager items you selected, you can post the difference to a variance account (for example, an account for interest charges or bank errors), in which case Coins ERP+ updates the balances and reconciles the statement.

5.

Either:

  • Fill in the name of the account to receive the difference, and a description such as the reason for the variance, then click Next (Next Icon).

  • To leave the unreconciled amount against the statement item, click Next (Next Icon).

6.

Repeat steps 3 to 5 for any other unreconciled statement items.
