Please review the complete instructions for downloading and installing the tax tables before proceeding.
Note: All payroll timecards should have a status of START. Timecards can be on file, but should NOT have been calculated. If timecards are calculated, please run the Reset process before loading the tax tables.
Instructions in Brief
Download the files to your PC
Click on the "Download" button.
Save the file on your PC hard drive and make a note of the location you saved it to.
Unzip the tax update on your PC. Note the full path name for the unzipped files.
Note: Most tax table updates include two files: tx_tables.d and tx_calcrules.d
Install the tax tables and tax calculation rules on your Coins system
In Coins ERP+, load the tax tables by running TAX TABLE LOAD from the Payroll menu, found under Global Setup > US Specifics).
Browse to your Local File Path for the files called tx_tables.d.
Select LOAD to run the Load Program; select CHECK to check for errors.
Install the tax tables and tax calculation rules on your COINS system
Load the tax calculations by running TAX CALCULATION LOAD from the Payroll > Global Setup > US Specifics.
Browse to your Local File Path for the files called tx_calcrules.d.
Select LOAD to run the Load Program; select CHECK to check for errors.
Ensure that the tax table and calculation updates loaded correctly by checking one of the Tax Authority Records that were included in the update. Dates appear in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
