Overview
A Union Report By Skill report function is available in Coins ERP+ Payroll. It displays Union information gathered on reports (such as the Union Calculation Report) and allows for a breakdown by Skill Level.
This report is for the US and Canadian regions only.
Calculation Groups
Coins ERP+ had no simple way to determine if a Union Calculation was designated for different purposes, such as 401k and other possible benefits. To remedy this, the Calculation Groups functionality can be used to group calculations so that employee information can be accurately reported. Multiple calculations can exist for the same type of fringes and deductions while streamlining reporting.
Calculation Groups can be set up by going to Global Setup > US Specifics > Calculation Groups, as shown in Calculation Groups. Groups can be created here for use by any of the Group Types, such as Pay Calculation or Union Calculation.

Union Calculation Groups
Union Calculations are found on the Union Calculations tab in Payroll > Global Setup > Unions, as shown in Union Calculation Groups. They can be marked as part of a specific Group Code Type; for example, Union US-CARP is shown in the screen below with Group Code UD.

Pay Calculation Groups
Pay Calculations are found in Payroll > Global Setup > US Specifics > Pay Calculations, as shown in Pay Calculation Groups. They can be marked as part of a group from the Pay Calculation screen; for example, Union US-CARP is shown in the screen below with Calculation Group Code PUD (Pay Calc Union Dues).

Union Report By Skill

The Union Report By Skill function is available on the Payroll > Company Reports menu, as shown in Menu Item. It allows you to report on Union information gathered on reports (such as the Union Calculation Report) and breaks it down by Skill Level.

Selection Screen
When you select Union Report By Skill from the PR Company Reports menu, a selection screen appears, as shown in Selection Screen.

Field Definitions (Selected Fields)
Check Date From/To
Starting and Ending Check dates are used instead of Period and Year options.
Print Union Summary
Indicate whether you wish to print a Union Summary section on the report, which includes a summary of fringes and deductions.
Deduction Group 1-5
Options for Union and Pay Calculation Groups are available to determine which fringe/deduction columns should be printed on the report. Only a Calculation Group set with Group/Pay Type as UNION is valid for the Union/Pay Calculation Group.
Skill
This field is found on the Employee Selection tab and allows you to select Skill Levels to report on.
