Overview
W-2s are tax forms prepared by an employer and given to an employee to be filed with the 1040 Form. Locality taxing is reported on the W-2 Form for employees who work in areas where Localities are prevalent. Some areas have numerous Localities, which can result in employees working in many Localities over the course of a year and therefore receiving a W-2 from each of those Localities.
Although Coins ERP+ provides users with the ability to generate W-2 Forms, additional functionality allows employees to print a single W-2 Form for all of the Localities where they worked per State. It shows a total value for all of the Locality tax paid for that State.
Coins ERP+ Payroll provides you with the ability to print W-2s with multiple Localities. This applies to the US Region only.
Print W-2 Forms
The Print W-2 Forms function in Payroll > Company Setup > W-2 Processing includes a Print a Single Locality W-2 per State checkbox on the selection screen, as shown in Prevailing Wage Reconciliation Report. Depending on whether you check or uncheck the Print a Single Locality W-2 per State box on the Print W-2 Forms selection screen, the following processing occurs if an employee works in more than one Locality:
When the Print a Single Locality W-2 per State box is not checked, two W-2 Forms are printed, as shown in W-2 Form Output (when box is unchecked).

When the Print a Single Locality W-2 per State box is checked, all of the information is combined into a single W-2 Form, as shown in W-2 Form Output (when box is checked).
MULTIPLE is printed for the Locality Name.
The Box 18 and 19 amounts are combined.

The W-2 Locality Report by Employee lets you print out multiple Localities for each employee.

A W-2 Locality Report by Employee menu option is found in Payroll > Company Setup > W-2 Processing, as shown in Menu Option.
