Overview

Prevailing Wage (PW) is defined as the hourly wage, usual benefits, and overtime paid in the largest city in each county to the majority of workers, laborers, and mechanics. Prevailing Wages are established by the Department of Labor & Industries for each trade and occupation employed in the performance of public work. They are established separately for each county and are reflective of local wage conditions.

This document describes enhancements made in v11.06 to the Prevailing Wage functionality in Coins ERP+ Payroll for the US and Canadian regions.

In order for the Prevailing Wage functions to work and provide the most desired results, several steps/setups must be followed. The processes described here will guide you through the setup for the Skills, Trades, Calculation Groups, and Rate Schedules to be applied to the Jobs/Service Order and employees. Keep in mind, both the Job/Service Order and the employee side must be set up for the Prevailing Wage functions to work.
