Coins ERP+ users in the US and Canadian Regions have the ability to export data for Union Rates and Calculations from one environment into another environment via a Bulk Load. In addition, you can now bulk load Union data (including related tables) from a spreadsheet for one or more Unions at a time. This is possible through the use of two new functions: Load Union Rates and Load Union Calculations.

This topic describes these two functions in more detail.

The Load Union Calculations function in Payroll > Administration allows you to bulk load new Union Calculations and associated tables. The initial browse screen (see Load Union Calculations Screen) lets you Bulk Add and Bulk Copy records.

In order to make changes to the Valid Skill Levels, Excluded Earning Categories, and Taxable Details, you can click the Calc No. hyperlink on the Load Union Calculations screen to drill down to the Union Calculation Summary, which is divided into four tabs, as shown in Union Calculation Summary Screen.

The Main tab, which is featured in Union Calculation Summary Screen above, allows you to enter/edit information in the following areas: General Info, Rates, Maximum Amount, Taxable Info, Amount Per Hour, Maximum Hours, and W-2 Info.

The Valid Skill Levels tab, which is shown in Valid Skill Levels Tab, allows you to enter/edit an unlimited number of valid skill levels for the calculation. The Skill Levels you can choose to add from the Skill Level Pattern lookup are set up in Payroll > Global Setup > Skill Levels.

The Excluded Earning Categories tab, which is shown in Excluded Earning Categories Tab, allows you to list any earning categories to be excluded from the Union. The Earning Categories you can choose to add from the Earning Category lookup are set up in Payroll > Global Setup > Earning Categories.

The Taxable Details tab, which is shown in Taxable Details Tab, allows you to set up taxation information for the deduction.
